Nilambur Teak Museum

The another great place in Nilambur is Nilambur Teak museum. I think CONOLY PLOT is more better than this place. But the person who want calm and quite atmosphere are like this place. There are many parks in this museum. The main attraction is the monkeys in this museum. They may play with us.
                                                                                      



The another thing is the a big root of a teak. That teak may be 148 yrs old. We can see this root only from here. There is no other place in India like this.








There are many  antique collection in this  museum. We can find a lot of this in this museum. Small pens made in teak, small dolls made in teak, etc...









I think total 3 parks for the visitor to relax. Three of them are beautiful and very clean. There are so many toys for the Kids. There is a bamboo house also. The roof and the floor of that house is made by bamboo, we can take a sleep also.

This is also a bamboo hut. But it is restricted for the visitors. They said that wild animals may be come there. In side this hut there is big well.













Here is butterfly garden. A huge collection of butterfly in this garden. We can touch them, But it is an offense. Just being the butterfly garden there is a forest full of wild tress. We can feel an Ootty atmosphere here

Route 1

1. From Kochi: Kochi - edapally (NH 17) - Paravur - Chavakkad - Kunnamkulam - Edapal - Kuttippuram - Valenchery - Perinthalmanna - Paandikkad - Vandoor - Nilambur (187 km)
2. From Thissur: Thrissur - Kunnamkulam - Edapal - Kuttippuram - Valenchery - Perinthalmanna - Paandikkad - Vandoor - Nilambur (103 km).

           (In this road we can see the beauty of Perinthalmanna. There are 2 hairpin curves are in that road.)

Route 2

1. From Kochi: Kochi - edapally (NH 17) - Paravur - Chavakkad - Kunnamkulam - Edapal - Kuttippuram - Valenchery - Kottakal - Malappuram - Manjeri - Edavanna - Nilambur (208 km), but the road is super and we can reach there faster than the other (Route 1) road
2. From Thrissur: Thrissur - Kunnamkulam - Edapal - Kuttippuram - Valenchery - Kottakal - Malappuram - Manjeri - Edavanna - Nilambur (124 km), but the road is super and we can reach there faster than the other (Route 1) road
